Case Study 1
A Well Wise Hub Case Study
Patient profile: Female, 48 years old.
At Well Wise Hub, we provide safe, structured, and compassionate support for women undergoing cancer treatment. Our approach works alongside hospital care to improve wellbeing, strength, and quality of life.
This case highlights how our integrative programme supported a 48-year-old woman during her breast cancer recovery.
The Client Story
Following breast surgery, our client was preparing to begin hospital treatment. Although medically stable, she was experiencing ongoing fatigue, poor sleep, anxiety about treatment, recent weight gain, and concerns about her future health and recovery.
She wanted support that focused not only on her diagnosis, but on her whole wellbeing.
Our Coordinated Approach
At Well Wise Hub, we always work in collaboration with the oncology team to ensure our support complements medical care safely and responsibly.
After a full lifestyle and wellbeing assessment, we developed a personalised recovery plan focusing on clinical nutritional therapy, targeted supplement therapy, sleep restoration, therapeutic movement, and psychological and stress-reduction support.
1. Clinical Nutritional Therapy
We introduced a structured anti-inflammatory eating plan tailored to treatment and recovery needs.
The focus included whole, unprocessed foods, fibre-rich plant foods, lean proteins to support strength, healthy fats, and a reduction of refined sugars and processed foods.
The aim was to stabilise weight, improve energy, and support metabolic health during treatment.
2. Targeted Supplement Therapy
As part of our treatment modality, we provided carefully selected, evidence-informed supplement therapy.
All supplementation was personalised, based on assessment findings, timed safely around hospital treatment, and delivered in coordination with the oncology team.
Our goal was to support immune resilience, energy production, and overall recovery without interfering with conventional treatment.
3. Sleep Restoration Programme
We implemented structured sleep support, including behavioural sleep strategies, relaxation training, circadian rhythm regulation, and short-term therapeutic interventions where appropriate.
This helped restore healthy sleep patterns and improve recovery capacity.
4. Therapeutic Movement Prescription
A supervised movement plan was introduced, including twice-weekly resistance training, moderate cardiovascular activity, and gradual progression based on tolerance.
This approach preserved lean muscle mass, improved stamina, and reduced treatment-related fatigue.
5. Psychological and Stress-Reduction Support
Weekly structured sessions incorporated cognitive behavioural techniques, mindfulness-based stress reduction, guided breathing practices, and emotional resilience coaching.
This reduced anxiety and improved coping during treatment.
Outcomes at Six Months
The client completed hospital treatment without complication or interaction with our programme.
Measured outcomes included a 40% improvement in fatigue levels, significant improvement in sleep quality, reduction in inflammatory markers, 4 kg weight reduction with preservation of lean mass, marked reduction in anxiety, and improved sense of personal control and confidence.
She reported feeling stronger, calmer, and more empowered throughout her recovery.
Why This Matters
This case demonstrates that structured integrative support can improve quality of life during treatment, reduce fatigue and sleep disruption, support healthy weight management, enhance emotional resilience, and complement NHS oncology care safely.
Well Wise Hub provides professional, coordinated recovery support that bridges the gap between medical treatment and whole-person wellbeing.
